Yes you can send a message to any LinkedIn group member. And yes they are free! So if you are saving money on inMails you can just search for their name in a group and click “message”. But you can send the InMails for free only to people that share the same LinkedIn Groups as you.

How big is your network? 500? 800? 10K? As you network is getting bigger, sometimes is hard to find the right person quickly, so there is really cool trick how to sort out your contacts.

You can create custom tags that you can use to filter your connections. You can easily tag people either from the Connections tab or the second way is to add the tag directly from a user’s profile.

The Secret Backdoor To Adding Connections

Every time you would like to connect with someone on LinkedIn, you’ve always had to say how you know them in your connection request. But not everybody is your colleague; classmate, friend or you are not able to choose “We’ve done business together”. So if you are trying to add new people you don’t know because you would like to start working with them there is a secret backdoor how to do it. Brynne Tillman shared an excellent article showing you a backdoor trick for getting past it its only 7 easy steps:

1. Visit the profile of the person you are looking to connect with
2. Click the star (relationship) button to save them as a connection
3. Copy their name
4. Click on Connections on the top bar
5. Paste their name in the search bar in the middle of the page
6. Hover below their location and click connect
7. Type your note and send

InMails are emails are great, but still the most effective way to get in touch with a potential candidate is by phone.

Small recommendation: Recruiters and Sourcers definitely need this amazing tool to use it on daily basis.
