I was asked
to do a test about the biggest personal agencies on the market here at Prague.
So what we did (and behind “we” is me and my friend) few tests how the agencies
are working. Because I am traveling, I
asked my friend to be a "partner in crime" and help me with the research and
this small test.
Agencies in
these tests are:
Adecco,
Randstad, Advantage Consulting, Hays, Manpower and Grafton.
This
article is about only first part of this test.
First Test: We sent the email with small
request, that we would like to see “Personal Data Protection” that candidate needs
to sign if he/she would like to start cooperation with the agency.
So my
friend contacted all these agencies by email with the simple question, that he would like to
know if he needs to sign the “Personal Data Protection” and if he can see it
before he start with the cooperation. And we would like to know how quickly the
agencies are going to respond and if they are going to share the “Personal Data
Protection” files with us.
The winner
of this test is Hays, we got response within 5 minutes with the file. Losers of
this test are Advantage Consulting and Adecco. It’s still more than 14 days and
nothing.
The
interesting parts are the “Personal Data Protection” files. Because some
agencies are just need your signature for a short agreement with few sentences. But other's needs to
get signature for things like “commitment to confidentiality”, so if you sign
this and you would like to share your bad experience with the agency on internet, you are
going to brake the agreement with them and they can sue you.
My friend
got Data Protection agreement from Hays and Randstad. When he visited Grafton,
Manpower and Adecco the agreement is almost the same as the agreement from Hays. But he was
really surprised what he signed at Prague’s office of agency Advantage Consulting.
As you can see, if you would like to go into this agency, take your lawyer with you, you can use him :)
